The human mind is pretty fascinating. Take a table, for instance. Every time we look at a table, it is only because the mind has previously referenced other tables in the mind that we are aware that it is a table. Even when we experienced a table for the first time as children, we kept doing this. From here, we reflect on when we first discovered the difference between words and sounds and learnt how to spell. It nearly seems as though the mind is capable of time travel.

A source of reference are picture frames. It also functions as a window, offering a glimpse into the artist’s mind.
